💼 Professional Experience

October 2023 - August 2024 Intern: October 2023 - December 2023

Conducted research on human timbre generation using prompts and voice conversion
- Referenced the txt2img model using Normalizing Flows and fully converted it into an architecture suitable for txt2spkemb tasks.
  - Improved speaker embedding module by replacing the LSTM layer with TDNN + self-attention to address concerns about gradient vanishing in long sequences.
  - Applied LoRA for efficient fine-tuning in the txt module, reducing parameters from 111M to 1.2M.
- Enhanced multi-speaker support by replacing the speaker embedder in the speech synthesis model.
- Optimized the data tagging process by simplifying a complex system into an intuitive structure and creating a guideline, resulting in the dataset expanding more than 5 times from 800.

January 2021 - June 2021 Intern: July 2020 - December 2020

Big Data Analytics Platform Development Project @Shinhan Investment Corp.
- Key Responsibilities:
  - Converted models written in SAS to Python, reducing maintenance costs.
  - Developed a customer segmentation model using K-Means on transaction data for targeted marketing.
Python Training Material Development @Woori Card:
- Prepared a basic Python syntax guide.
- Created and delivered Python machine learning training materials using Scikit-learn.
K-data Data Voucher Support Project (as Intern):
- Key Responsibilities:
  - Automated web scraping for company IPO data, developed a web scraper.
  - Conducted bankruptcy prediction research using news articles, extracting bankruptcy-related keywords from approximately 7.2 million articles.

July 2021 - Present

Actively participating in a developer writing group called Geulddo, where I publish articles on my personal tech blog biweekly.
Joined to improve my writing skills and to cultivate a habit of organizing and documenting what I’ve learned.

Completed courses related to Big Data and AI, and participated in project-based learning.

March 2022 - January 2023

After completing my undergraduate studies, I traveled to Canada to enhance my global competencies.
Attended the ML Ops World and Collision tech conferences, connecting with professionals in the same field and maintaining those connections to this day.

Served as the Treasurer of the Student Council, managing the department’s budget, planning events, and executing financial operations.

Performed as a vocalist in RIVS, the university’s busking club, participating in several performances.
